id like to see a warrior with all the hammers axes swords and shields strapped to his back. that way he cant move because of all the weight and he is a sitting duck for my elementalist
or maybe all the hammers in your belt pouch pull your trousers down randomly in the middle of a fight causing you to fall over.. possibly impaling yourself on your sword?
seriously give rangers a cosmetic quiver. if they are using a longbow make it a back quiver.. short bows horn bows etc etc get hip quivers

I also agree , I dont see why weapons cant be strapped on the back or on the side when not in combat ... its just weird to not see weapons when you dont use them ... they just suddently dissapear ? :P , I also think quivers is a great idea ... makes the looks on the characters better and more realistic

agree with monty, its magic so let it look like magic, thoguh quivers would give a more solid :ranger: look,
how about this, just a plain ol quiver, nothing special but -maybe- a bit of atkspeed bonus, nothing crazy, cap at like 10%, after all, quivers are supposed to make it all easier right?

I dont see why Rangers couldnt have one handed bows. Short bows/ recurves could be one handed while long bows / flat bows could be two handed. Thus if you played with a one handed bow you could play with an offhand (ie quiver)
This is just the same as warriors having the option of swords (one handed) or hammers (two handed)
If that was done then perhaps the 'one handed' bows would only have one mod whereas the big bows would have two. The quiver could then add the equivalent of the missing mods (ie as someone suggested - sundering / poisonous etc arrows) while the bigger bows would have the option of having the mod added directly.
There are advantages and disadvantages about bows due to range - these could stay and so be part of the calculation people would need to make when deciding what to go for.

I wonder why people complain about an unlimited supply of arrows.
Agreed, quivers would give more appearance to the ranger but still, if you want a quiver go outside of the house, grab a stick, string, a rock, and ta-da a QUIVER!

Ever try to fire a bow (other than a cross bow) with one hand? And no snide comments about using your teeth to draw the string.

If I'm going to make a quiver, what do I need the rock for?

Actually it would be a nice thing to see candycane weapons shoot special candycane arrows/energy-balls

Quivers would be great. I don't think we should just assume that it is 'magical' and 'doesn't have to be realistic' like the backpack. It would be a nice visual, and could be toggled on and off. Bow string visuals could also be added and have a toggle.
Indexed.

Agreed. Even cross bows still need two hands to load.

/signed for quiver for cosmetic purposes.
But gimmie string first. Would a string be that hard? I mean, seriously. It's not like "OH NOES! The performance drop from bowstrings will kill the game!" or anything.

When I first started playing GW during May Preview Event, whatever it was, I created a Ranger. One of the first things I noticed was that I didn't have a quiver! =( I wouldn't mind if ANet just added a standard quiver to every ranger, or if they actually made it a true part of the game (such as different types of quivers with different stats...I believe someone mentioned hip/back quivers and such). Either way, show us where the Rangers are getting their arrows from! It's annoying!!!
As for having to buy arrows, I wouldn't care if you had to or not. But a quiver is NECESSARY.

Quivers and bow strings.... that's all we need.
As much as id like to see a ranger run out of arrows in mid PvP, I don't plan on seeing that happening.

In the end the best option would be just a cosmetic change. It has no impact on the game play as in it won't increase or decrease or even change the rangers class in any way. Seeing your previously used weapon slung on you back (as long as you still have it on you person) would be nice as well. It would work for those that have multiple weapon sets and for when you enter a town. What ever weapon you were holding when you or your party enters a town would either be strapped to your back or hooked at your side.
Reminds me of BoodRayne.

For cosmetic purposes shure.
Perhaps you could buy different types of quivers for fashion and such (fow quiver?). For bowstrings i would love to be able to see a visual difference btw the different strings. For example, a fire string would have a think line of flame, poison would be green mist, bleeding would be red mist, and so on.

They just shouldn't give any bonuses or armor, or they would be disrupting the balance. Otherwise they would have to replace a piece of already existing ranger armor.
